Services


  • Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
  • Avians & Exotics :  Dr. Valerie L. Campbell &  Dr. Wendy Behm are the primary Avian and Exotic veterinarians.  Other members of our staff are specifically trained in a variety of exotic animals.  Call for more information!
  • Equine:   Full Service Mobile and In -Clinic drive up appointments are available with  Dr. Nancy Hall, Dr. James Joyce,  ( Emergency Calls are also covered by Dr. Mike Gast). 
  • Equine Dentistry:  Dr. James Joyce is available for farm calls to perform equine dentistry.
  • Mixed Large animal:   Dr. Ross Peterson and Dr. Mike Gast offer care thru Mobile & In clinic appointments for Domestic animals and special farm pets such as: Pigs, Sheep, Goats, Alpacas, Llamas and general herd health.
  • Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We have a Board Certified Surgical Practice on call for special  or unusual procedures.
  • Reproduction:  We offer professional consultation for breeding small and large animals. Call for specific information!
  • Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.  We use Isoflurane and Sevoflurane as our inhalent anesthesia. 
  • Radiology Services:  Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders.
  • Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists utilizing tele medicine or local echocardiology referral practices.
  • Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
  • Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventatives and parasiticals to meet the needs of your pet.  We purchase our products directly from reputable manufacturers and their representatives to provide your pets with the most reliable products available.
  • Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, & tooth extractions. We offer services for dogs, cats, bunnies, and ferrets and more....!
  • Individualized Flea and Tick Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas and ticks in your house, in your yard and on your pet.
  • Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
  • Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice and /or consultation appointments regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression....As well as Avian Behavior Issues.
  • Boarding:  We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. Drop-off / Pick ups on most Sundays from 6:00pm - 8:00pm....  call for more information.
  • Doggy Day Care:  Spend a day playing with the staff and other pets!  Offered by the day, group of days, week or month.Use in conjunction with Boarding or just let your pet have fun while you work, shop or play! Please feel free to ask for your pets report card!!
  • Bathing:  Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.
  •  
  • Physical Conditioning  is available by appointment. Featuring one on one sessions and use of the Swim tub. 
  • Emergency Care:  Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies.  BRVA URGENT CARE  staff is available for Emergencies 7AM - 9PM  Monday thru Thursday  &  Fridays 7 AM for 24 hour care  until Monday  9PM.   Should you require additional overnight monitering services, please call ahead so that we can make the proper arrangements.  As proper staffing allows, we plan to expand hours in the Spring of 2007.
