Avians & Exotics : Dr. Valerie L. Campbell & Dr. Wendy Behm are the primary Avian and Exotic veterinarians.
Other members of our staff are specifically trained in a variety of exotic animals.
Small animal medicine/dentistry/surgery/Ultrasound / - Dr. Nancy Hall
Ultrasound: Dr. Taylor is on call to us for Complete In-House Ultrasound Seervices & Consultation
Mixed Large animal: Dr. Mike Gast & select staff offer care thru Mobile & In clinic appointments for Domestic animals and special farm pets such as: Pigs, Sheep, Goats, Alpacas, Llamas and general herd health.
Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We have a Board Certified Surgical Practice on call for routine, special or unusual procedures.

Laser Surgery: Laser is an option for many standard surgical procedures... while using a laser we see...
- Less Pain - The laser seals nerve endings as it cuts. So the patient will have less pain.
  Less Bleeding - The laser seals small blood vessels during surgery and speeds up surgery by minimizing bleeding.
- Less Swelling - No physical contact except the invisible laser beam. The tissue will not be crushed.
- Sterilization - The laser sterilizes the surgical site as it cuts. Bacteria and viruses are vaporized by the laser during laser surgery.
- Faster Recovery - Less bleeding and swelling will result in faster healing.
  Precision - The beam direction and power can be controlled precisely to remove thin layers of tissue and produce minimal side effects on the surrounding healthy tissue.
- Reduced hospitalization time

Reproduction: We offer professional consultation for breeding small and large animals. Call for specific information! Breeders Welcome!
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. We use Isoflurane and Sevoflurane as our inhalent anesthesia.
Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern digital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders.
Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists utilizing tele medicine or local echocardiology referral practices.
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventatives and parasiticals to meet the needs of your pet. We purchase our products directly from reputable manufacturers and their representatives to provide your pets with the most reliable products available.
Dentistry: Our Veterinarians all perform Dental Procedures, A skilled & trained Technician will be monitoring anesthesia, providing nursing care and performing basic dentistry services and our Veterinarians will be supervising procedures and/ or performing necessary extractions. Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, & tooth extractions. We offer Denistry services for dogs, cats, bunnies, and ferrets and more....! Dr. Wendy Behm has extensive dental training in restorative dentistry, please make a consultation appointment with her should a special procedure be requested.
Individualized Flea and Tick Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas and ticks in your house, in your yard and on your pet. We carry a variety of preventative products.
Dietary & Nutritional Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance. We carry Hills Science Diet foods as well as Purina and other name brand prescription and Over the counter food products.
Veterinary Acupuncture - Complete Acupuncture Services - and Balanced Eastern/ Western Medicine
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice and /or consultation appointments regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression....As well as Avian Behavior Issue

Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. Drop-off / Pick ups 7 days a week, during regular business hours. Please call for more information.

Doggy Day Care: Spend a day playing with the staff and other pets! Offered by the day, group of days, week or month.Use in conjunction with Boarding or just let your pet have fun while you work, shop or play! Please feel free to ask for your pets report card!! Ask Misty how to join the BLOG!!! Cageless day care options ??? You bet!!!
Bathing: Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available. Spa Baths are the latest and greatest to melt the stress away.... ask for more details.
Healing Laser therapy: Available 7 days a week for a multitude of conditions. Visit our laser therapy tab for details.
Physical Conditioning - pre and post surgical and pain relief is available by appointment. Featuring one on one sessions with a licensed technician trained in Pet Physical therapy techniques.

Emergency Care: Please call our main telephone number 540-338-7387 for instructions for after-hour emergencies. BRVA URGENT CARE staff is available for Emergencies 24 /7.
