Flea and Tick Info
FRONTLINE Plus contains fipronil (called an adulticide) to kill adult fleas, and (S)-methoprene (an Insect Growth Regulator, or IGR) to take care of flea eggs and larvae.
Unlike some other flea- and tick-control products that contain ingredients that may be harmful or potentially deadly to cats, FRONTLINE Plus is approved for use on cats and dogs alike.
The active ingredients in FRONTLINE Plus are stored in pets' sebaceous glands, so they can't be washed away.
Fleas and ticks don't have to bite a pet to be affected by FRONTLINE Plus - all it takes is simple contact.
FRONTLINE Plus kills four major species of ticks, including the one which may transmit Lyme disease.
