Dr. Mitchell grew up and attended college in upstate NY. He graduated from Ross University Vet school in 2008 and moved to Roanoke Virginia that same year. Ultimately, Dr. Mitchell would join the team at Blue Ridge Veterinary Associates in June of 2010 as a general practitioner and emergency veterinarian.

His pets include Arizona the brindle mastiff and James the orange cat, as well as a dozen laying hens.
