Originally born and raised in Hawaii, Dr. Lori Nishizawa has traveled across the U.S. to settle here in Loudoun County, Virginia.

She received her BA in Biology from Claremont McKenna College in San Bernadino, California, then moved on to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where she earned her degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

She moved to the Northern Virginia area in 2009, working in Ashburn for a year before joining Blue Ridge Veterinary Associates in 2010.

Her professional interests include traditional companion animal medicine, as well as exotics medicine (including small mammals, reptiles, and birds).
