Scheduled appointments with our doctors or veterinary technicians are always preferred, although walk-ins will be accommodated if possible.
Emergency cases will always receive top triage priority, followed by patients with previously scheduled appointments.
We do offer a “drop-off/work-in” option when our appointment schedules are full or you have a condition that needs to be reviewed by our treatment staff. In this case, you have the opportunity to leave your pet with us after completing the necessary paperwork, then we will then call you once we are able to work your pet into our treatment staff schedule. Once your pet is treated, we ask that you pick up your pet before the end of our regular business hours.
Please note: doctors may charge for broken appointments.
We are here to handle your pet’s urgent medical matters or perform emergency procedures during our extended appointment times from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Your pet is treated by our caring and competent staff and you can feel comfortable knowing your pet can receive the same quality of care, no matter the time of day.
We will always make every effort to see you and your pet promptly.
We appreciate your patience and understanding that we are a full-service hospital and conditions may occur that cause a delay in our routine appointment schedules.
For your protection, and that of others, we ask that our clients adhere to the following guidelines:
All dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.
All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
Birds, reptiles and exotics should be caged
Horses and other large animals should remain in the trailer or vehicle until you receive further instruction from your doctor or treatment staff
Please contact us prior to your appointment if you have any questions regarding any of our policies. We look forward to seeing you at Blue Ridge Veterinary Associates!
