Dr. Mike Gast started at Blue Ridge in October 2005. He was born and raised on a family farm in Valparaiso, Indiana.
Education:
S. Dairy Science 1995 from Iowa State University
Attended University of Kentucky studied Animal Nutrition
DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003
Internship in Ambulatory and Production Medicine in 2004 from Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine
Perform small animal and large animal medicine and urgent care
Interests include:
Bovine embryo transfers
Reproductive disorders
Dystocias
Respiratory diseases
Zoo medicine

4-H Dairy Leader and 4-H Veterinarian of Loudon County Fair
