Dr. Wendy Behm

Dr. Wendy Behm was born and raised in Baltimore before attending Cornell University for her undergraduate studies. In 1989, Dr. Behm graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, then began working at Old Dominion Animal Health Care Center in McLean for 8 years. Immediately following this position, Dr. Behm joined us at BRVA and how now been with us for more than 20 years.

Dr. Behm’s professional interests are small mammal/avian medicine especially rabbits, guinea pigs and birds. She enjoys dentistry and complicated internal medicine cases and critical care. Most of all, she enjoys knowing her clients and patients personally for many years through the good and the bad, the sick and the routine. She feels privileged to know many BRVA clients as friends.

Outside of work, Dr. Behm lives with her husband of 23 years (Bob Feconda) and two children outside Hamilton. Her son Robby will head off to Virginia Tech this fall and her daughter is a sophomore at LVHS.

When she is not busy with her children’s activities or volunteer jobs, she loves riding her horse and is an active member of the local equestrian community. She also loves to garden with flowers and vegetables, and she runs regularly and hopes to compete in some 5K races this year.
